Privacy Policy
Effective 1 July 2026
Apto (“Apto”, “we”, “us”) is a job-application tracker for Android. This policy explains what data we collect, why, how we protect it, and the choices you have. We built Apto to be private by default: your job-search information is yours alone, and you can delete all of it at any time.
Information we collect
- Account information. Your email address when you create an account. If you sign in with Google, we receive your name and email address from your Google account to create and identify your account.
- Content you create. The information you add to the app: job applications (company, role, status, dates, notes), interview events and reminders, recruiter and contact details, and any documents you upload (for example CVs and cover letters).
- Advertising & diagnostic data. Apto shows ads through Google AdMob. To serve ads, Google may collect your device’s advertising identifier and limited usage and diagnostic information. See Google’s privacy policy.
- Notifications. Reminders you set are scheduled on your device. Push delivery infrastructure is provided by Expo.
We do not collect your contacts, precise location, or browsing history, and we do not track you across other apps.
How we use your information
- To provide the app: store and sync your applications, events, and documents across your devices.
- To send the reminders you schedule.
- To display ads that help keep the app free.
- To keep your account secure and prevent abuse.
Legal bases (EEA/UK users)
Where the GDPR applies, we process your account and content data to perform our agreement with you (providing the app), and we rely on your consent for personalized advertising, which you can give or refuse through the in-app consent prompt.
Service providers
We share data only with the providers needed to run Apto:
- Supabase — database, file storage, and authentication (hosts your account and content).
- Google — Google Sign-In, AdMob advertising, and Google Play distribution.
- Expo — app builds, over-the-air updates, and push-notification delivery.
We do not sell your personal data.
How we store and protect your data
Your data is hosted on Supabase and protected by per-user access rules (row-level security), so only your account can read or write your records. Data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS), documents are kept in private storage, and your session credentials are stored encrypted on your device.
Data retention and deletion
We keep your data until you delete it or delete your account. You are in control:
- In the app: go to Profile → Delete account. This permanently erases your account and all associated data (applications, events, documents, and recruiters).
- By email: if you can’t access the app, email us at support@apto.claudex.one from your account’s email address and we’ll delete your data for you.

Advertising choices
In the European Economic Area, the UK, and Switzerland we show a consent prompt before serving personalized ads; if you decline, you’ll see non-personalized ads instead. On Android you can also reset or delete your advertising ID in your device settings under Google → Ads.
Children
Apto is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country), and we do not knowingly collect their personal data.
International transfers
Your data may be processed on servers located outside your country. Where required, our providers rely on appropriate safeguards for such transfers.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by a new effective date at the top of this page.
